MUSEUM BOOK CLUB

 July 13 | August 10

5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Searching for a “third space” to read and interact with like minded mortals? Look no further than the Peoria Riverfront Museum’s first Book Club! Set in the extraordinary BODY WORLDS RX exhibition, join museum educator, book lover, and fellow tiny mortal Sadie Helmick in reading Caitlin Doughty’s best-selling book, “Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?: Big Questions from Tiny Mortals About Death” and “From Here to Eternity,” as well as Mary Roach’s “Stiff.” During this hour-long program, Sadie will lead a group discussion on the book’s hilarious and morbid questions about death, dead bodies, and decomposition.

This program is the introduction for all three book club meetings, all taking place in either the HEART or BODY WORLDS RX exhibitions, and all happening on the second Thursday of the month from 5:30-6:30.

Join us for  "Museum Book Club" on July 13, 2023, and enjoy a discussion on Caitlin Doughty's “Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?” During this hour-long program, Sadie will lead a group discussion on the book’s hilarious and morbid questions about death, dead bodies, and decomposition.
