Join the Peoria Riverfront Museum and the Jewish Federation of Peoria in the solemn observance of Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Guest Speaker: Vera Emmons will be sharing her mother’s story through video and photos. She is the daughter of Gerda Nothmann Luner, a Holocaust and concentration camp survivor. Gerda survived Auschwitz and other concentration camps. Her experience as a post-war refugee in the United States inspires Vera’s efforts to open hearts, minds and doors for those who need to flee for their lives.
