Join us as we present for the first time ever from the museum archives, “101 Treasures of the Peoria Riverfront Museum Collection.” Spanning 57-years, this exhibition highlights a selection of the most important artistic works, scientific objects, historic relics and achievement-related stories that define our museum’s permanent collection.

Once established to provide a place of learning and development, our collection has grown to include more than 15,000 objects that continue to inspire and build confidence in our region and beyond. Featuring specimens from our coveted insect collection, silver from the Lincoln household, bronze sculpture by Auguste Rodin, and previously unseen photographs of Peoria native, Richard Pryor, this exhibition not only explores the depth of various specializations but chronicles a vibrant collecting history to our present year.

Discover the stories behind the treasures, including works by Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Sol Lewitt, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Pauline Palmer, Frederick Remington, Rodin, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Frank Lloyd Wright, as well as historical artifacts from the Lincoln's goblet and Lincoln's life mask to John Dillinger's death mask, a Canyon Diablo meteorite and extraordinary minerals and insects from our natural history collection.
