The Peoria Riverfront Museum encourages students, pre-k to university level, to experience hands-on art, science, history, and achievement.

Your Field Trip Experience

Your students will have the opportunity to see engaging exhibitions,  Dome Planetarium shows, and view educational films on the Giant Screen Theater. Most field trips will begin at 9:00AM and last until about 12:00PM.

Elementary School
Students will experience a unique learning environment through our self-guided gallery tours, educational workshops, Dome Planetarium shows, and educational Giant Screen Theater films.

Middle School - High School
Enrich students’ understanding of science, art, history, and achievement through specially designed planetarium shows, science based workshops, self-guided gallery tours, and educational Giant Screen Theater shows.

School Group Admission
The admission rates are $12.00 per student. This price includes a Dome Planetarium show or a Giant Screen Theatre Showing, a guided tour of the galleries, and optional curriculum to engage students during their visit. Get your Educator Preview Pass for a chance to visit the Riverfront Museum prior to your visit - click here !

We extend school rates to homeschoolers, scouts, and summer camps.

  •  1 chaperone per 5 students receives free admission; all additional chaperones pay the student rate.
  •  Please make reservations 2 weeks in advance.
  •  Date, time, and number of students must be confirmed 7 days prior to your reservation date (note: your group will be charged this confirmed number even if fewer people show up on your reserved date; groups bringing more than the confirmed number will be charged for additional visitors).
  •  No-shows and cancellations less than 48 hours before the reservation will be assessed 50% of the confirmed amount.
  • Museum memberships are void with field trip and group pricing.
